Pride of the Baghdad (Multi-Model 5)
For the Multi-Model, the comic
book panel to be chosen for this is Pride of Baghdad. The summary of this comic
book is the group of lions that are living in a captive zoo building in Baghdad
in a year 2001, which at a same time the Iraq is invaded by the Allied Army. But
the focus of this story shows the group of lions that are trying to survive
this wasteland place by any of the encounter dangers other than just the Iraq
War. This is also show how these group of lions are gaining an independence of
freedom from the captive zoo in Baghdad during that year.
For the ethnicity, the definition is more of the social relationship of the tradition way and how this term fits for the comic book panel. The first example to show is a first image where two of these female lions in standoff that this place is a no win situation, but mostly a survive situation (Vaughan 51). Because, they are arguing about that is victory to be free or not on current situation. Another thing to be showing a picture in background in a one on one duel in a beautiful desert outside of the Baghdad even though the war is continuing still. Another example of the ethnicity is showing a second picture of these family of lion that are close together as a family to stick together no matter what dangers they may encounter. On the same image where these lions are in ruin of zoo building after it collapse because showing that they are free from a captive zoo building and start a new freedom to start by survival (Vaughan 28). It also shows that this place was once a beautiful downtown, and now turns into wasteland like fallout game, but more of danger zone on current battlefield in Baghdad.

By conclusion of overall summary where the lions are
focusing not just only the Iraq war but other dangerous rival of animals that
may threaten to these lions in a wasteland of ruins in Baghdad. Also, finding
way to survive in wasteland but also that present very challenge because of
lost and unaware because of destruction in Baghdad. This show why these free
lions are searching for safety and freedom that they can find.
